Cyrla oversees all human tissue and blood sample collection, processing and storage for studies managed by the Clinical Development Unit (CDU). She also provides training and support to study coordinators at multiple study sites and assists the CDU project managers with any samples related matters. Prior to joining Exactis in January 2017, she played a similar role within the Quebec Clinical Research Organization in Cancer (Q-CROC) for more than 3 years. Her office is located at the Jewish General Hospital, near laboratory and pathology services.
Cyrla has more than 15 years of previous industry experience in the pharmaceutical sector as an associate scientist at AstraZeneca in the CNS-Pain therapeutic area where she developed expertise in tissue processing, histology, molecular biology and biobanking. She has coauthored 12 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of CNS, pain and vascular biology. Cyrla obtained her MSc. from the University of British Columbia and her BSc. from McGill University.
